NiMH / LiPo Battery end of life disposal
Please take your old battery to your local battery disposal point or return to Horizon Global Electronics Ltd.
Repairs and warranty:
All meters returned and found to be "No fault found" will incur a £25.00 bench fee additional to the return carriage plus VAT.
Any meter returned for warranty repair or service with the security seals broken will automatically fall under the minimum charge of £100.00 plus carriage plus VAT if less than 3 years old, for meters over 3 years please see below.

HDSM – Horizon Digital Satellite Meter
Please note we cannot repair Version 1 and Version 2 and version 2.5 Meters
Any meter older than a version 3 cannot be repaired by Horizon due to obsolescence of components, making repairs economically unviable. However it may be possible for a general electronics repair shop to offer assistance.
HDTM v2.0 – Horizon Digital Terrestrial Meter
Please note we cannot repair Version 1 or Version 1.5 Meters
Any meter older than a version 2.0 cannot be repaired by Horizon due to obsolescence of components, making repairs economically unviable. However it may be possible for a general electronics repairs shop to offer assistance.
USB/USB Plus – Horizon USB and USB Plus Meters
We can currently repair all versions of these meters
Repairs costs are as follows:
Meters: 0 – 12 Months free of charge repair subject to warranty conditions and seal being intact.
Out of warranty repair i.e. seal broken or customer damage in first 12 months £75 + carriage + VAT
Meters: 12 -24 Months chargeable repair of £75 + carriage + V.A.T
Meters: Over 24 - 36 Months chargeable repair of £100 + carriage + V.A.T
Meters: Over 36 Months chargeable repair of £250 + carriage + VAT
If a meter is less than 3 months old and under warranty a brand new unit will be sent as replacement. Any replacement supplied in the first 12 months under manufacturer’s warranty will continue to be covered by the original 12 month warranty period. All other replacement meters are refurbed meters which carry 3 months warranty based on the original terms.
HD-TM Plus, HD-CM, HD-TC8, HD-S2
We can currently repair all versions of these meters
Repairs costs are as follows:
Meters: 0 – 24 Months free of charge repair subject to warranty conditions and seal being intact.
Out of warranty repair i.e. seal broken or customer damage in first 24 months £100 + carriage + VAT
Meters: Over 24 - 36 Months chargeable repair of £150 + carriage + V.A.T
Meters: Over 36 Months chargeable repair of £350 (£300 for HD-TM Plus) + carriage + VAT
If a meter is less than 3 months old and under warranty a brand new unit will be sent as replacement. Any replacement supplied in the first 24 months under manufacturer’s warranty will continue to be covered by the original 24 month warranty period. All other replacement meters are refurbed meters which carry 3 months warranty based on the original terms.
Please contact Horizon to check serial numbers of any faulty meters before sending them to us for repair. If the serial number is not checked and the faulty meter is non-repairable, carriage cost will be charged to return the unrepaired meter.
